A $30,000 doctoral research scholarship for tauira whose study includes a significant focus on artificial intelligence, aimed at strengthening Māori research capability in emerging technology so that future developments are approached from culturally grounded perspectives.

Who can apply

Tauira enrolled full-time in a doctoral programme at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, researching a significant AI component alongside a significant mātauranga Māori or kaupapa Māori component, not already receiving scholarships totalling more than $10,000, and either a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident living in New Zealand
