Support for registered NgāiTakoto whānau during bereavement and financial hardship.
Before you apply
The criterion that decides it: the deceased must be returning to one of four NgāiTakoto marae — Te Paa a Parore, Waimanoni, Wharemaru o Kaimaumau, or Mahimaru. A tangihanga held anywhere else does not qualify, however strong the whakapapa.
New Zealand residents only. Established January 2018 to assist whānau during bereavement and financial hardship. Download the funeral application form from the resources page and return it with supporting documentation.
Note that NgāiTakoto have paused all other financial support — see the separate listing here.
