Before you apply

The schedules are updated through the year and list which trusts open when. Worth a look every few months. Trusts tied to Māori land blocks, like Otama Marere and Whakapaupakihi 6 & 7, are administered through the Māori Education Trust rather than applied for directly — both listed separately.

Read the full 2026 Application Schedules for Organisations and for Individuals (last updated 21 May 2026) end to end. Beyond the three already listed through Māori Education Trust, the only other Māori-specific fund found was the Onuku Māori Lands Trust education grant, now listed separately — everything else on both schedules is a general community, health, arts, animal-welfare or research trust with no Māori-specific eligibility. The Rose Hellaby scholarships are also Perpetual Guardian funds administered through Māori Education Trust, already covered in the Māori Education Trust listings.
