Waitaha Sports Grant

Tiered sports grant for Waitaha whānau, from local club level up to national representation.

Closes

The 2025-26 round ran 1 October 2025 to 30 June 2026 and has closed, or when the $10,000 pool was exhausted. The trust's page had not published 2026-27 dates as at 14 September 2026.

Who can apply

“To support whanau in sports and hauora with Fees and/or equipment.” Applicants aged 19+ must be at representative level; tamariki up to 18 do not need to be representative level. Applied for individually, not as a team.

Amount

Tiered by level, but the exact amount-to-tier pairing is not entirely clear from how the funder's page lays it out: the figures given are $100, $200 and $1,000 against "Tamariki up to 18yrs old," "LOCAL: Te Puke based team," "REGIONAL: BOP/Waikato etc representing a region," and "NATIONAL: NZ Team Representing NZ" in that order, with the page's own formatting not making the exact match unambiguous. $10,000 available per financial year overall.

Before you apply

Requires detailed kaupapa information, a quote/invoice/receipt and an accountability form. The amount-per-tier pairing above is quoted as closely as the source page's layout allows — worth confirming directly with the funder or re-reading the live page (some browsers may render the table more clearly) before relying on a specific figure.
