Before you apply

He Oranga Poutama is a national Sport NZ kaupapa Māori physical activity programme, delivered regionally through partner sports trusts; in Manawatū it is co-commissioned with Te Pae Oranga o Ruahine o Tararua, the region's Iwi-Māori Partnership Board (IMPB) under the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022 — worth checking whether other regional sports trusts already on file (e.g. Sport Northland, Sport Bay of Plenty) run their own He Oranga Poutama allocation, potentially co-governed with their local IMPB, before assuming this is Manawatū-specific.
