Who can apply

Read on the council's page, quoted verbatim: open to organisations that are "not-for-profit," "provide services to the wider community or specific sectors in the Kaikoura community," and can "supply verified Annual Accounts." Covers Arts & Culture, Community Facilities, Community Welfare and Social Services, Environment, Heritage, and Sport and Recreation.

Won't fund conventions/conferences, school curriculum programmes, retrospective costs, travel outside Kaikōura, food/catering, fundraising events, or projects better suited to the council's other funds (George Low, Creative Communities, Sport NZ Rural Travel, Significant Natural Areas, Kaikōura Initiatives Fund).
