Before you apply

Do not send anyone to apply now. The 2026 round has closed, and the board's own pages do not say whether there will be another.

How it worked in 2026. A short registration of interest, shortlisting by an independent assessment panel, development support for shortlisted applicants, then funding for successful initiatives at the summit.

It is for new ideas. The page says the grant backs “bold, whānau-centred ideas that can strengthen hauora and wellbeing for generations to come”. An established service asking for running costs or to grow is not what it describes.

Te Taumata Hauora o Te Kahu o Taonui is the Iwi-Māori Partnership Board (IMPB) for Tai Tokerau and Tāmaki, one of 15 established under the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022. Questions go to ellie@tetaumatahauora.nz. Watch tetaumatahauora.nz for a 2027 round.
