Projects and services that strengthen community support, connection and wellbeing across Upper Hutt.
Before you apply
The council page contradicts itself as at 23 August 2026. Its summary gives the 2026 round as 13 July to 19 August, while the questions below it still describe the 2025 round and say the 2026 dates have not been set. Treat the round as annual and mid-year. Individuals cannot apply. Not funded: capital items and projects, wages and salaries, prize money, travel, entry or conference fees. The unobvious one — if the project could be funded directly by central government, or you qualify for other funding, the council will normally not consider it. Contact funding@uhcc.govt.nz.
