Three years of funding, including operational costs — and the round only opens once every three years.
Before you apply
Operational costs are fundable, which is rare and is the reason to care about this one. Most funders will pay for a project and not for keeping the doors open.
The catch is the cycle. It opens once every three years and the next round is late 2027, so if you miss it you wait three years rather than one. Diarise it now.
Not funded: retrospective costs, wages and salaries, or short-term projects. Paid in annual instalments, and an Accountability Report is required before each instalment is released — so a late report stops the next year’s money. grants@whakatane.govt.nz, 07 306 0500.
