Grant for secondary students (Years 12-13) who whakapapa to Whangamoa Trust, a Māori land trust in the Te Arawa rohe.
Before you apply
Hard copy only — no online application for the secondary grants. Download and print the form, or collect one from the Deloitte Rotorua office. Verified whakapapa signed by a shareholder is required. Check whether your whānau are owners through Māori Land Online, owner interest tab. Only two of the eleven trusts administered through Deloitte Rotorua run a secondary school grant; the rest are tertiary only. Contact Lee Gray, leegray@deloitte.co.nz. Each trust sets its own criteria on its own application page. Mangorewa Kaharoa requires third year or above and allows one grant per lifetime; Kapenga M carries a grade threshold on its scholarship. Read this trust’s page before assuming the shared rules are the whole story.
