Before you apply

Part-time study qualifies here, which the scholarships do not allow, though you receive a partial grant. You do not need to apply separately if you have gone for a scholarship — unsuccessful scholarship applicants are considered for this automatically. Every one of these asks for a written statement on how you have contributed, or will contribute, to your hapū, marae and whānau development. That is not a formality here — it appears on every grant and scholarship, so write it once and write it properly. Your programme of study and career aspirations also have to contribute to the objectives of Te Korowai. kawarau@ngaruahine.iwi.nz.
