Before you apply

Rare — most iwi scholarships are aimed at degrees, and this one is built for apprentices. Second year or higher, and you must be both working and studying in Aotearoa. Online application only. Three entities fund these jointly — the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board, the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust and the Ngāti Tūwharetoa Fisheries Charitable Trust. Being registered with any one of them can be enough, so check all three before deciding you are not eligible. Office (07) 386 8832, education@tuwharetoa.co.nz.
